The first Englishmen arrived with their fishing rods as early as in the 1840s and made their mark on Aurland. ‘Jericho’ is the name the lords gave to one of the river’s fishing spots. Our Jericho room is tastefully decorated, with William Morris wallpaper in recognition of our British guests. The bathroom interior boasts cog-jointed timber from the smokehouse, dating back more than 300 years.
